FRANSCHHOEK HASH HOUSE HARRIERS

Franschhoek Hash House Harriers
After living in Franschhoek for over a year I have finally got round to TRYING to set up a FHHH. I found a "world hasher" swallow who is on his annual visit here who enjoys laying trails and we decided to go for it. Not sure what support we will get from local sports organization but we are just networking invitations to everyone to join us. Could you please pass this info to all HASH members. Not many people in Franschhoek know what it is about. Most think it’s some sort of weird drug party.

Franschoek Hash House Harriers
Run#1
The run that was:
On this fine sunny and warm afternoon at 5.30, 14 would be Franschoek hashers and 2 cape town idiots gathered together for what was going to be the first Franschoek run. Three checks were called and Her Anus asked if they were marked, and we can all guess what our esteemed hare politely told him. After pointing us in the general direction and making excuses about how the farmers have cleared all the markings, we set off. Two hashettes, who would later become known as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, eagerly led the pack shouting ON ON at every blob of flour they saw, and there were lots of blobs. This was all virgin territory as we were led through the vineyards and through shiggy, and these hashers weren't shy to get their feet wet, well except for one who later found out that that was a mortal sin in hash. This eventually led us to our first check.
After all had gathered we went checking and eventually found the trail, back through the shiggy, through the vineyards again and through some more shiggy where at this stage I think we came across Franschoek's sewerage plant, either that or the cows around us were farting off some mean Sh1t.
At this point we came across our hare, how he got there so fast well that is anyones guess, directed us up this little #$%^ing hill, that didn't seem to have a #$%^ing end. Up we went, and then up some more and if you thought that was it, not quite, we went up some more. Along the way Tweedle Dee picked up a sign that said "Harvesting in progress" and carried it on her back to let the townsfolk know that she was ready for the picking, though she did try and convince us that it was for a real reason.
At last we got to check 3, and it was here that we found our first falsey, actually I think our hare and co hare decided that another route would be better as for every ON ON we shouted it was echoed with a baboons Bark Bark.
So after a much hasty exit we eventually picked up the trail which started to lead us down this hill straight into our hare who seemed to have found a shortcut, short cutting bastard, needless to say he was to pay for his sins.
The route finally made its way to the ON IN where Her Anus took over the roll of RA, which needless to say led to copiuos amounts of beer been drunk.
Thanks Mark for letting us use of your pad and I hope we didn't trash it to badly.
A fantastic first run with some awesome views of the area, we now wait for the T-shirt.
